CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
ADULT BALLET
LEVEL I
Multi-level class for beginners. Some will come with no experience and some who are just returning to dance after years of not doing it.
The class will be taught on the basis of the Cecchetti Methods with the focus on explaining ballet barre technique with emphasis on correctness,
terminology, flexibility, toning, fun and fitness. This class is usually 100% ballet barre. Uniform: Leotard/tights or comfortable dance clothing with ballet shoes.
LEVEL II
NOT for beginners. This class is for experienced dancers who want to work on their own technique, flexibility, toning and fitness. It will offer about 75% of ballet barre work and 25% center floor/across the floor. We will introduce a variety of combinations based on the Cecchetti methods to challenge your dance knowledge and experience. Uniform: Leotard/tights or comfortable dance clothing with ballet shoes.

Educational: Are you ready for pointe?
YOGA FITNESS LEVEL I This Yoga class is a gentle workout where the exercises are based on the Hatha "Flow"
Yoga designed for beginners or students who wish to work at a slower, gentler pace. In this recreational format,
Yoga emphasizes fun as participants gain flexibility and strength. Options are always given for modifications as needed.
YOGA REGISTRATION
YOGA PLUS (Any beginner level class offered) - Yoga (for the overweight/obese) may seem intimidating to folk who are looking to shift more than just a few pounds, but it doesn't have to be that way. Using an easy-to-follow approach, Our Yoga Plus Class shows how anyone can benefit from yoga no matter what their body shape. Yoga Level I is a great place to begin.
YOGA FOR SENIORS (any beginner level class offered) -Yoga utilizes a combination of: breathing (expanding the lung's capacity to handle an increased amount of oxygen intake) to rejuvenate, repair and create new cells;meditation (calming the mind, releasing stress and anxiety); physical posturing: designed to strengthen the musculo-skeletal structure, to increase bone density by doing weight-bearing exercises (to prevent osteoporosis); lubricate joints (reducing arthritis); alignment (or re-alignment) balances of the body's skeletal structure; stimulation of the endocrine system which promotes the increase of beneficial hormonal activities. It's non-threatening, has no side effects and can be considered preventive care, and in some cases: cure as well. The age group that needs the most health support (55 plus) is either unfamiliar with yoga's health benefits, or is preconditioned to seek only medical solutions offered by traditional medical treatment modalities: such as drugs and surgery. Or in most cases: they simply can't afford even the modest cost. Yoga for Seniors, taught by skilled instructors, could greatly reduce the rapidly rising costs of senior medical care, the costs of institutionalization, the use of prescription medicine, as well as other health related medical services. Yoga Level I is a great class for Seniors.
PRENATAL YOGA PRENATAL REGISTRATION FORM
Prenatal Yoga helps strengthen the body for child bearing and aids in relieving the common discomforts your body experiences. Classes also help you find
the time and space to look within yourself strengthening the emotional, physical and spiritual bond between you and your child. Minimum enrollment is required for session classes.
MEDITATION YOGA - YOGA REGISTRATION FORM
Combine the body energy, breath awareness
and focusing of the mind through a process of surveying, introspecting and exploring. Through a process of self-awareness, you
will learn to train your body in the fine art of relaxation. The class begins with a focus on the breath as a way of
transitioning from the external world. We will work the physical body through stretches and simple yoga postures.
We will survey the physical body in the relaxation exercises and we will begin the process of turning inward from
the physical body by focusing on the breathing practices as we enter the final meditative relaxation at the end of class.
Bring a yoga mat and blanket to class.
LEVEL II
This Yoga class is modeled after the Hatha "Flow" as well but offers more pose options for experienced students wanting a more complex "power" workout.

YOGA REGISTRATION
PILATES MAT I
Pilates is an exercise program that focuses on the core postural muscles that help keep the
body balanced and are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness
of neutral alignment of the spine and strengthening the deep postural muscles that support this alignment,
which are important to help alleviate and prevent back pain. This class is taught using floor mats (which can be
purchased from us for $20-$30).
Mat exercises primarily focus on strengthening the muscles of the trunk and hip and increasing the flexibility of both the spine and hips.
Pilates is a series of exercises done in sets and repetitions as opposed to Yoga that uses a flow from pose to pose to warm and exercise the body. Our instructors
may choose to use a prop in this class from time to time but this class is primarily a classic mat class.
PILATES PROPS CLASS
Offered as a continuation of the basic Pilates Mat class utilizing a variety of props to further enhance the core workout. Most props
will be provided, however we recommend you purchase your own ring and latex therabands which are an essential part of a prop workout.
